I had a sudden wave of inspiration to digitally create object movement without traditional animation. So, I went back to the 1800s and experimented with barrier-grid animation.
Barrier-grid reveals different parts of a series of frames under a striped grid. Your brain fills in the missing parts of each frame, creating the illusion of movement as the grid moves.
